The Baker's Wife
In this little Provencal village, a new baker, Aimable, settles. His wife Aurelie is lovely and much more youthful than he. She leaves with a shepherd the evening after Aimable produces his first breads. Aimable is so afflicted that he can not work any longer. Therefore, the citizens, that originally poked fun at his cuckoldry, take the issue very seriously (they want the bread) as well as arrange a strategy to discover Aurelie as well as to bring her back to the bakeshop.
