Icon of horror Lord George Jeffreys is played by Christopher Lee, who has previously collaborated with Jess Franco on a number of projects. Jeffreys is an infamous and merciless judge and Lord Chancellor in an England torn apart by the conflict between the reigning King James II and the heir to the throne, William of Orange.
