The Final Countdown
The USS Nimitz, the US Navy's most powerful warship, is trapped in a storm in the Pacific during normal drills in 1980. The ship travels into a vortex, engulfed by a weird green light, and when it emerges, their connections have been shut off. The captain of the ship dispatches a patrol, and the F-14 pilots are surprised to see antique Japanese fighters.
