When their car breaks down in the woods during a layover in Germany in the middle of a carefree road vacation through Europe, two American girls find themselves alone at night. While looking for assistance at a nearby villa, they are enticed into the hands of a demented former surgeon, who presents his bizarre scientific vision to his captives' dismay. They are the objects of his twisted lifetime fantasy: to be the first to join humans one to the other and thereby bring "the human centipede" to life.
