The Iron-Fisted Monk
Sammo Hung's directorial debut, Iron Fisted Monk, is a spectacular old school kung fu film that showcases the portly one at his physical best on screen as well as calling the shots behind the camera. He is a disciple of the Shaolin monks, studying kung fu in order to avenge the death of his uncle, who was killed by a group of nefarious Manchus in the province. As a result, he abandons his training early and joins up with a martial artist monk (Chan Sing) who is teaching a group of industrial employees how to protect themselves. In response to the Manchurian attack on the workplace, Husker and his Buddhist friend decide it's time to settle the score.
