The Killing of a Chinese Bookie
Cosmo Vittelli, owner of a seedy, low-rent Hollywood cabaret, has a genuine passion for the women who strip in his peepshows and the crew who maintain his drab facility in order. He also has a significant gambling issue, which has gotten him into trouble in the past. Cosmo is unable to pay up after suffering a catastrophic loss at an underground casino owned by mobster Mort. Mort then offers Cosmo the opportunity to repay his debt by eliminating an obnoxious, Mafia-protected bookie.
