The Los Angeles Police Department has fired a group of top vice cops for being overzealous in their fight on drugs. In the beginning, it is clear that several of their bosses are complicit in the drug trafficking operation. Four of the banned cops (which shortly becomes three after one is killed early) get together to fight the drug ring undercover. They raise money for firearms by robbing small-time drug smugglers. then they go after the kingpin armed and ready (Boyd).
