There are only a few of unicorns left, and they've all been herded away by Red Bull, according to a riddle-speaker. The unicorn sets out to find out the truth behind the butterfly's words .'s.' At some point along the way she is joined by a mediocre magician named Schmendrick and a middle-aged woman named Molly Grue, who has always wanted to see a unicorn. It's a quest that takes them far from home, all the way to the King Haggard castle.
