The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp
General Candy, who is in charge of an English squad in 1943, is a seasoned commander who lacks the respect of the soldiers he's teaching and is regarded as out of touch with what it takes to win the war. However, this wasn't always the case. In a flashback to his early career during the Boer War and World War I, we see a dashing young officer whose life was changed by three distinct ladies and an enduring connection with a German soldier.
