Several people were nearly suffocated by one elevator, and a security guard was decapitated by another. Felix, the lift company's technician, is unable to detect a problem with the circuits. During an interview with the lift company's electronics partner (Rising Sun Electronics), he and a curious reporter were put on leave of absence by his supervisor. Some nefarious experiments are taking place after a subsequent meeting with a professor.
