The Lion
Benjamin Scheuer, a writer and performer, presents a narrative about love, sorrow, devotion, and the redemptive power of music in his new play. Another aspect of this one-man musical is a coming-of-age drama, in which a son searches for his father's love while embarking on a highly personal journey in order to become his own man. Scheuer performs and sings the extraordinary narrative of his family and his near-death experience, all while being backed by a cast of six guitar players. Some stories need to be told through song to be properly understood.
