The Music Room
With his wife and son, a wealthy landlord leads a hedonistic life. Music is his passion-or, as his wife would put it, his addiction-and he spends a large portion of his income on community concerts conducted in his wonderful music room. He is alarmed by his next-door neighbor, a commoner who has amassed wealth through business dealings. His desire for social recognition and his passion for music becomes his undoing, as he sacrifices his family and riches in order to keep it.
