Christine Daae is being groomed to be an opera diva by a grotesquely disfigured composer known as "The Phantom," who haunts the Paris Opera House and is known as "The Phantom." The Phantom proclaims his love for her after luring her to his isolated underground hideaway. Christine, on the other hand, is head over heels in love with Raoul de Chagny and prepares to elope with him. When The Phantom learns of this, he kidnaps Christine and takes her away.
