The Return of the Musketeers
D'Artagnan is hired by Mazarin in 1649 to find the other three musketeers: For this reason, Mazarin is afraid of an uprising in England, led by the likable Beaufort, now that Cromwell has ousted King Charles I. Aristocratic Aramis and brawler Athos support Beaufort in secret. Porthos is bored with riches and wants a title. The musketeers are expendable after failing to stop Beaufort's escape from prison, so Mazarin sends them to London to rescue Charles I. Milady de Winter's vengeful daughter Justine is also after them—she was their enemy 20 years ago and wants vengeance. They need to get out of England, avoid Justine, serve the Queen, and ensure Beauford's political reforms are implemented.
