The Star
In this film, Emmanuil Kazakevich's novel of the same name is brought to life. Nazi armies construct a huge tank division known as "Viking" for the upcoming onslaught on captured Russian territory, which begins in the summer of 1944. The Russian Army's special reconnaissance unit, codenamed "Zvezda," consisting of seven snipers, is dispatched to conduct a reconnaissance operation behind enemy lines in the rear of the Nazi Tank Division. Two prior Russian groups had left and never returned. Because they are fighting for Victory, the seven Russians are well aware that they are putting their lives at danger.
