These Are My Hours
They tell the story of one birth from start to finish. This documentary is a close look at one woman's physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual experience of giving birth. It is the first film to be told from the point of view of a woman in labor. It was just after midnight on December 6, 2016, when Emily Graham was in bed at home in Greenville, South Carolina. She was getting ready to give birth. In the end, work has finally come around. Emily, with the help of her husband Jason, her midwife Carey, and her mother Judy, goes through the depths of her own body over the next few hours. When a child is born, a mother is also born. "These are my hours" is the story of this transformation, which celebrates womanhood by paying homage to its most important act: giving birth.
