Four young people, including rich kid Bill, Joe, Fred, and Jane, knock on the door of a remote villa when the gas runs out in their dune buggy. Bill had given Jane, who was very pretty, a pearl necklace that he said had a paranormal history. This led to a lot of trouble later on. They are invited to spend the night at the mansion, which is owned by Lord and Lady Alexander. That night, a group of strange people in black robes are gathering there for a strange ceremony. In the evening, Jane comes out of her sleeping room as if in a trance and is led to an altar where the robed houseguests are hovering over her. As the young woman is about to be stabbed with a knife, her three friends come to her rescue. However, they also see a chaotic mass murder disaster, which makes them feel guilty and uncertain as they run away.
