Author Zora Matthews is the child of well-known author Thomas Morgan Matthews who died a year ago. Both Zora and Thomas suffer from schizophrenia. After a fight with spouse Drew, Zora escapes to her dad's hideaway residence in lovely Topanga Canyon. There Zora is presented to bartender Eddie, his wife Lorena, and also handyman Amadi. They all chat cryptically about just how Zora's dad altered their world. The tension triggers Zora's schizophrenia, as well as her desires become horrific as she slowly uncovers that her dad's past included grisly murder and also self-destruction, and the ghosts of his actions are back to haunt her and also drive her outrageous.
