Urban Cowboy
After relocating to Pasadena, Texas, country boy Bud Davis begins frequenting a local pub named Gilley's, where he meets and falls in love with Sissy, a cowgirl who believes that men and women are equal in every way. Their love eventually leads to marriage, but it is tumultuous because of Bud's archaic perspective of gender roles. Bud and Sissy are separated due to Bud's jealousy over Wes, but Bud seeks to win Sissy back by winning Gilley's mechanical bull-riding tournament.
