Wadjda
10-year-old Wadjda lives in a Riyadh suburb, the Saudi capital. Wadjda, who lives in a conservative society, is a fun-loving, entrepreneurial, and risk-taking person who is continually testing the limits of what she can do. Wadjda stumbles onto a gorgeous green bicycle for sale after a fight with her friend Abdullah, a neighborhood youngster she shouldn't be playing with. To beat Abdullah in a race, she is frantic for a bicycle. A society that regards bicycles as hazardous to female virtue will not enable Wadjda's mother to let her daughter to ride one. In order to raise the money, Wadjda chooses to go it alone.
