As the French are compelled to pull back, he is marched for months with the Grande Armée, until being freed by a raiding event. The French are beat by Kutuzov in the Battle of Krasnoi. Andrei is identified and also is offered his estate. He forgives Natasha on his deathbed. She rejoins with Pierre and they wed as Moscow is being reconstructed.
