Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale - Part 1: The Sun Flag
The Seediq Bale, a brave band of native warriors, sprang up among the Seediq people, where Mouna Rudo was born and reared among the Seediq people. Rudo's way of life is threatened by Japanese occupying soldiers that took over the country in 1895. To defend his people's traditions and honor, Rudo gathers a group of former Seediq Bale warriors who have been reduced to infighting, and forms a revolutionary army. A violent conflict between the Seediq forces and their oppressors ensues as Rudo and his companions attack the Japanese occupation troops during a juvenile athletic tournament. A four-hour Taiwanese edition of Warriors of the Rainbow, featuring Seediq Bale, begins with The Sun Flag.
