Analyn Megison's story was based on fact. Amy Thompson (Lyndsy Fonseca) is a lively Charlotte law student who is attacked and raped by Demetri (Hunter Burke), a friend of a friend. Amy takes the difficult decision to keep her baby after discovering she is pregnant as a result of the rape, despite the fact that Demetri continues to stalk and harass her while she waits for the long-delayed trial. She gives birth to a lovely young girl and decides to flee to Atlanta to start again. Six years later, Demetri locates her and sues for custody of her daughter, much to her shock. Amy fights back by utilizing her legal and investigative talents.
