Nam opens a bar in Wanchai and continues his rise in Hong Kong's Hung Hing gang. Chicken, his best friend, needs to stay out of trouble, so he is sent to Taiwan to work for the leader of the San Luen gang, Lui. There, he falls in love with Ting Yiu, Lui's old mistress. When Chicken goes back to Hong Kong, he finds Nam fighting his longtime rival Fai Fat. Then Lui shows up and tells Hung Hing that he wants half of their new casino in Macau. When the boss of Hung Hing, Chiang, wants to think about it, Lui threatens war, Chicken has to choose a side, and Ting Yui sets up a meeting. The feelings of Chicken, the competition between Fai and Nam, Lui's greed, and Ting's plans are all headed for a head-on collision.
