YOUTH is about a longstanding friendship between two people who are contemplating retirement while spending time together at a posh chalet in the Swiss Alps. Even though Fred's daughter Lena strongly encourages him to do so, he has no intention of returning to his musical career. On the other hand, Mick is determined to complete the screenplay for what may be the most significant film he will ever make for Brenda, who serves as his inspiration. And where will Jimmy, their younger friend who is an actor trying to make sense of his next performance, find the inspiration to take him?
