A Country Practice
A Country Practice was a television drama series that aired in Australia. One of the longest-running shows of its sort at the time, created by James Davern of JNP Productions, who authored the pilot episode and entered a script contest for the network in 1979, finishing third and winning a merit award. From 18 November 1981 until 22 November 1993, it aired 1,058 episodes on the Seven Network. It was created at ATN-7's Epping, Sydney, production facility. After a lengthy run on the seven network, it was taken up by network ten for 30 episodes from April to November 1994, with a mostly new cast, albeit the ten series was not as successful as its predecessor. The Channel Seven series was also filmed in Pitt Town, while the Channel Ten series was shot in Emerald, Victoria.
