Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog
The Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise was adapted into a popular American animated television series called Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. It was initially aired for the first time in September of 1993. It chronicles the exploits of the titular character, Sonic the Hedgehog, and his trusty sidekick, Tails, as they battle Dr. Robotnik and his legion of robots to prevent them from gaining control of the planet Mobius. Concurrently, another series starring Sonic, simply titled Sonic the Hedgehog, was broadcast on television. Adventures, in contrast to the other Sonic series, featured a humorous tone and offbeat plotlines that presented Sonic as being skillful and intelligent, while Robotnik and his robot companions Scratch and Grounder were shown as being clumsy.
