Alan Carr: Chatty Man is a BAFTA-winning British comic chat show hosted by comedian Alan Carr. The show includes celebrity interviews, sketches, current chat, and music. The show premiered as two pilots in late May2009; it proved successful with the public and was commissioned for a series. The first episode received a total of 2.15 million viewers. The show has aired 9 seasons and 82 episodes to date. Carr has secured a new four-series contract worth £4 million that will keep the show on the air until 2014. The ninth season was the longest to date, with 14 episodes. On March1,2013, a new series debuted. Carr signed a two-year contract extension with Channel 4 in 2013, which would keep him at the channel until 2015. The new arrangement is worth £4 million. Alan Carr: Chattyman airs a week later in Europe and Scandinavia on BBC Entertainment. Old episodes are currently airing on 4Music.
