Babylon 5
Five miles in length, Babylon 5 is located in neutral space. Constructed by the Earth Alliance in the 2250s, its purpose is to foster peace among the many alien races by offering a safe haven where disputes and discussions can be mediated by officially designated ambassadors. A council comprised of delegates from the five major space-faring civilizations— the Earth Alliance, Minbari Federation, Centauri Republic, Narn Regime, and Vorlon Empire — works with the League of Non-Aligned Worlds to maintain order in interplanetary relations. In addition to its diplomatic role, Babylon 5 functions as a military outpost for Earth and a port of call for travelers, merchants, businesspeople, criminals, and Rangers.
