It is an Australian television drama series called Blue Water High. The lives of a young group of students at Solar Blue, a high-performance surf academy, are chronicled throughout each season. Each year, a handful of fortunate 16-year-olds are chosen to participate in a surfing program that lasts for a whole year on Sydney's northern beaches. There are three different series that take place in Blue Water High. The creators had no intention of making a third season when they aired the first two of the show's installments in 2005 and 2006 respectively. However, they caved in to pressure from fans and produced one further season, with only Kate Bell returning to the cast in a major role this time around. Solar Blue was cancelled after the conclusion of its third season, which was a clear indication that the show would not be revived.
