Murakami used to be friends with a girl he called Kuroneko when he was a kid. One day, while attempting to persuade Murakami of the presence of aliens, she is murdered in a car accident, which he narrowly survives. Guilty of his part in the accident, Murokami vows to devote the rest of his life to proving the existence of aliens. Then, one day, a mysterious new kid named Kuroha, Neko, who not only looks like Kuroneko but also has mysterious abilities, transfers into his class.
