Charlie's Angels is an American crime drama TV show that ran for five seasons and 110 episodes on ABC from September 1976 to June 1981. The show was made by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts, and Aaron Spelling was in charge of making it. It was about three women who worked at a private detective agency in Los Angeles, California. At first, the main characters were played by Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett-Majors, and Jaclyn Smith. The three women were joined by David Doyle as a sidekick, and John Forsythe did the voice of their boss. Cheryl Ladd, Shelley Hack, and Tanya Roberts joined the cast in later seasons. Cheryl Ladd joined in season two, Shelley Hack in season four, and Tanya Roberts in season five. Even though critics gave the show mixed reviews and people thought it was just "Jiggle TV," it was a huge hit with viewers and a top ten show for its first few seasons. The show ended after five years in the spring of 1981 because later cast changes were not well received and the public's tastes had changed.
