As a child, Lee Kang always wanted to be a cook, but instead became a neurosurgeon. Moon Cha Young first met Lee Kang when they were both children in a seashore town diner. There, Lee Kang cooked and served her a meal, which in part made her want to be a world-famous chef. For a long time after that, the two of them meet again at a hospice ward. They help each other heal their own emotional wounds by making meals for the patients there.
