David Feiss created the American animated sitcom Cow and Chicken for Cartoon Network. Cow and Chicken, a cow and her chicken sibling, are the stars of a strange series. It is common for them to be annoyed by "The Red Guy," who pretends to be a variety of people in order to con them. When I Am Weasel became a regular component of the show, it was granted its own half-hour show called I Am Weasel, which aired later in the show's existence. The original pilot episode of What a Cartoon! was created by Hanna-Barbera president Fred Seibert, who also created Dexter's Laboratory and other 1990s Cartoon Network programming. Since its debut on Cartoon Network on July15,1997, the Cow and Chicken series has been prominently featured on the network, with reruns showing until April 2006. Ratings for Boomerang are rated TV-Y7, which shows reruns. In 1996 and1998, the show was nominated for an Emmy Award.
