Easy Money was a comedic drama that aired on The CW from October5, 2008 through August16, 2009. Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider conceived the series. Media Rights Capital, an independent television programming producer, produced the show, along with Valentine, Surviving Suburbia, and In Harm's Way. The CW sold the producers the Sunday night block on a leased-time basis after the network had no ratings success with the night. The series was put on hold in mid-October, with production anticipated to resume in four to six weeks. MRC decided to terminate both Easy Money and Valentine two weeks later. The CW stated on November20, 2008 that it was terminating its Sunday Night partnership with MRC, eliminating the current shows and programming the night itself. The CW announced on July6,2009, that starting July26, the series would begin burning off the remaining episodes on Sundays at 7 p.m.
