Based on Fanboy, an animated short developed by Robles for Nickelodeon and Frederator Studios that aired on Random! Cartoons on August 14, 2008 The series opener got 5.8 million viewers. 5.4 million viewers observed the second episode. The theme song was composed by Brad Joseph Breeck and performed by The Mae Shi, an experimental punk band. No third season was confirmed during Nickelodeon's 2013-2014 upfront presentation.
