Getting Together
Getting Together is an American musical situation comedy that aired on ABC during the 1971-72 season. Bobby Sherman and Wes Stern play the songwriting duo of Bobby Conway and Lionel Poindexter. "A Knight in Shining Armor," the season finale episode of The Partridge Family that introduced Lionel and Bobby, was featured in the pilot for this new show. Songwriting duo Sherman and Stern are said to have been inspired by the real-life Boyce and Hart, who wrote songs for The Monkees, Jay and the Americans, and more. Of course, the sitcom relied heavily on original music, which was composed by many of the same people who had previously worked on the Partridge Family's songs and albums. From Bobby Sherman albums Getting Together and Just For You, most of these songs were used.
