The Animated Series Green Lantern is an American computer-animated television series based on the DC Comics superhero Green Lantern. The show is presently showing on Cartoon Network as part of their "DC Nation" television block. A one-hour preview aired on November11,2011, and the show ran from November11, 2011 through March16,2013, with a new episode appearing every week. On October15,2011, the first episode was aired at a special screening at New York Comic Con 2011. This is the first Green Lantern TV series, as well as the first DC/WB CGI series. The series was canceled after one season due to weak toy sales from the live-action film, as well as Cartoon Network's desire to focus new episodes in its "DC Nation" block.
