Kiyo in Kyoto: From the Maiko House
Kiyo and Sumire came to Kyoto from Aomori Prefecture, dreaming of ending up being maiko. But after an unexpected turn of events, Kiyo begins functioning as the live-in chef at the Maiko Home. Their story unravels in Kagai, the Geiko and also maiko district in Kyoto, alongside their housemate maikos. Kiyo nourishes them daily with her homecooked dishes, and Sumire strives towards her encouraging future as the once-in-a-century maiko.
