Knight Rider
In the midst of his investigation into a crime, undercover police investigator Michael Long is ambushed by his attackers, who shoot him and then leave him for dead. He is saved by Wilton Knight, a wealthy millionaire and scientist who is nearing the end of his life. Wilton Knight arranges for a life-saving operation, which includes giving him a new face and a new identity—that of Michael Knight. Michael is subsequently given a sophisticated computerized and indestructible car by the name of the Knight Industries Two Thousand (nicknamed KITT), and he is assigned a task to arrest criminals who are beyond the grasp of the authorities. The show follows Michael and KITT as they fight against evil on behalf of the Foundation for Law and Government. It recounts Michael's adventures along the way.
