It was first presented by Martha Rountree, who was followed by 10 other moderators. David Gregory is the current host of the show; he has held this position since December of 2008. On May 2, 2010, the show started using a new set, which featured video screens and a library-style set with bookshelves, as well as different and modified intro music, with David Gregory previewing the guests using a large video screen, and with the Meet the Press theme music in a shorter "modernized [style]... the beginning repeated with drum beats." The show debuted with these changes.
