Playful Kiss is a South Korean romantic comedy television series that aired in 2010 and starred Jung So-min and Kim Hyun-joong. It aired on MBC on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:55 from 1 September to 21 October 2010 for a total of 16 episodes. The story is based on Tada Kaoru's Japanese manga Itazura Na Kiss. The Korean series is the third television adaptation of the manga, following the 2005 Taiwanese translation It Began With a Kiss and its 2007 sequel They Kiss Again. Five to seven percent of South Koreans rated Playful Kiss poorly, although the film was sold to 12 nations in Asia. After the series end, a short special edition was shown on YouTube due to its international popularity. Oh Ha-ni is a clumsy student who falls in love with Baek Seung-jo, a perfectionist. However, Seung-jo disregards her and rejects her affection. When Ha-home ni's collapses, she and her father move into the home of her father's longtime friend. Seung-jo is revealed to be the friend's kid, and Ha-ni is offered the opportunity to be near the man she loves. Will she be able to move the heart of Seung-jo?
