My Hero

Paul Mendelson produced the BBC series My Hero. The show lasted six seasons, from February 2000 to September 2006. The comedy depicts the exploits of "Thermoman," a dimwitted superhero played by Ardal O'Hanlon in the first five seasons and James Dreyfus in the final season. John Stroud directed the show on a regular basis. The show is periodically re-run on the digital channel Gold in the United Kingdom, albeit the most recent series has yet to air. It aired on PBS and, for a limited time, BBC America in the United States. UKTV broadcasted reruns of the first three episodes in Australia, while BBC Entertainment broadcasted repeats in Scandinavia.
