Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica is a reality show that MTV and MuchMusic made and showed. It happened after Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson got married and became a married couple. The show debuted in August 2003 and ran for three seasons, with a total of 41 episodes. The last season started on January 26, 2005, and the last episode was shown on March 30, 2005. Simpson and Lachey got married on October 26, 2002, and on December 16, 2005, they filed for a divorce. Jessica and Nick's divorce was finalized on June 30, 2006. Simpson's innocence was a big part of the show's gimmick, which played on the common stereotype of "dumb blondes." Simpson asked Nick about a can of Chicken of the Sea tuna in the first episode, which may be the most famous example "What I'm eating, is it chicken or fish?
