Gol D. Roger, the ruthless pirate king, was executed many years ago, leaving behind a great mound of riches and the renowned "One Piece." The new pirate king will be whoever claims "One Piece." Monkey D. Luffy, a young child who ate one of the "Devil's Fruits," believes he will find the One Piece by following in the footsteps of his hero, the pirate Shanks. Of course, the fact that his body is made of rubber and that he is surrounded by a posse of talented fighters and thieves who can assist him helps. Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Tony-Tony Chopper, Nico Robin, Franky, and Brook are among the characters who join Monkey D. Luffy and his gang. They will go to any length to obtain the One Piece and become Pirate King!
