Peep Show is a British comedy show with David Mitchell and Robert Webb that has won several awards. The TV show is written by Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain. Mitchell and Webb, among others, have also contributed to it. Since 2003, Channel 4 has been showing it. With its eighth season, the show is now Channel 4's longest-running comedy. Style-wise, the show uses point-of-view shots in which Mark and Jeremy's thoughts are heard as voiceovers. Peep Show is about two men in their twenties and thirties: Mark Corrigan, who has a steady job for most of the show, and Jeremy "Jez" Usbourne, who wants to be a musician but doesn't have a job. They met at a made-up college called Dartmouth and now live together in Croydon, which is in South London. Mark starts out as a loan manager at the made-up company JLB Credit. He then becomes a waiter and then a salesman for bathroom supplies. He is financially stable, but he is awkward and bad at making friends, and he has a negative and cynical outlook on life. Before the first episode, Jeremy broke up with his girlfriend Big Suze. He now lives in Mark's spare room. He usually has a much more positive and energetic view of the world than Mark. However, his self-proclaimed talent as a musician has not been recognized, and he is not as popular or attractive as he thinks he is, though he is more successful with the opposite sex than Mark.
