Richie Rich is a Hanna-Barbera Productions animated television series that ran on ABC from 1980 to 1984 and again in 1988 as part of the weekend/weekday programming block The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera. During its original broadcast run, the series, which was based on the iconic Richie Rich comic book characters from Harvey Comics, shared time slots with Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo, The Little Rascals, and Pac-Man. Richie's dog, appropriately named Dollar, was another prominent character. The show airs infrequently on Boomerang; the theme from The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show and Scrappy Too! plays over the closing credits of Boomerang's reruns.
