Sky High
Yumiko Shaku, a Japanese actress and model, stars in Sky High, a live-action supernatural television drama series. It first broadcast in Japan from 2003 to2004, and was famous enough to inspire a feature film of the same name in 2003. Both are based on the Skyhigh manga from Japan. Izuko, the Guardian of the Gate to the Afterlife, is played by Shaku. The main premise of the television series is similar to that of the American series Ghost Whisperer, in which the protagonist must utilize her abilities to assist the deceased in determining the reason or circumstance of their death on their journey to the afterlife. However, no matter how hard Izuko tries, her advice does not always lead to a happy conclusion.
