Slayers
Slayers recounts the adventures of Lina Inverse, a young sorceress whose existence centers around food, treasure, and combat. Lina is confronted by stragglers on her way to the next town after taking treasure from a bunch of bandits. She is not in imminent danger, but a dimwitted but amiable swordsman named Gourry Gabriev rushes to her aid nonetheless. They form an alliance and travel to Atlas City, defeating enemies along the way.
