The series focuses on a fictional New York theater scene and Broadway show. Debra Messing, Jack Davenport, Katharine McPhee, Christian Borle, Megan Hilty, Jeremy Jordan, and Anjelica Huston star. The show's first season ended on May 14, 2012. Its second and final season aired from February 5 to May 26, 2013. NBC relocated the show to Saturdays on April 6, 2013. The show ended May 10, 2013. Josh Safran, second and final season executive producer/show runner, claimed the season two finale would function as a series finale if the show is not renewed. The pilot was well-received. The first season was nominated for 4 Primetime Emmys. The series was also nominated for a Golden Globe and a Grammy.
